I found Jeremy to be knowledgeable about design, tools, wood carving, tuning and finishing techniques. He offered design guidelines and not a specific pattern to be followed which I liked a lot and fit my needs. I think anyone who wants to truly carve a flute by hand would be hard pressed to find someone as skilled as Jeremy. His teaching techniques allowed for explorations in the learning curve. Making a NAF completely by hand was not something I had ever considered doing. That is until I bid on a silent auction item, and won the opportunity to make one side by side with Jeremy. Thanks to his patient, kind, and gentle assistance I successfully made a beautiful NAF that is also my favorite one to play. -- Yvonne Grimes
